INCLEMENT WEATHER AND ATTENDANCE

There are times in Niagara when weather conditions are so poor that we must cancel student  transportation, and/or close schools to preserve the safety of students and staff.

The decision to cancel transportation and/or close schools is not taken lightly; a variety of factors are  considered when making this choice. To learn more about how these decisions are made, please go to https://www.dsbn.org/inclementweather

Transportation Cancellations:

Information about transportation delays and cancellations are posted to

https://portal.nsts.ca/Cancellations.aspx. When transportation is cancelled, every effort is made to  communicate the decision by 6:00 am on the day of the cancellation. There are times when  transportation is cancelled, but schools remain open. If, on those days you feel it is best for your child to stay home, please report your child’s absence in the school messenger app on your phone or the quick link called REPORT Absence on the side panel so we can make sure they are safe at home OR call the toll free line 1-866-606-5567...thanks for your cooperation.

School Closures:

When the decision to close schools is made, it refers to all schools: both in-person and remote  learners. Every effort will be made to share school closure information before 6:00 am on the day of the school closure. You will find it on dsbn.org, all school websites, DSBN social media, and local media share the news widely as well.

CITY OF NIAGARA FALLS INFORMATION

Please check the City of Niagara Falls School Crossing Guard webpage on the city’s website for changes in service locations and shift times of Guards. This site will update families and advise of them of additional locations, removal of locations and interruptions in services. They should check the site frequently for this information, but interruptions to service will always be posted by 7:30am and 2:30pm (should only an afternoon shift be affected).

We are currently dealing with a high rate of absenteeism due to Flu season, Covid and a variety of other reasons; occasionally including weather related issues following large snow/ice events.

The link for this page is: https://niagarafalls.ca/city-hall/transportation-services/school-crossing-guards.aspx

PARKING

Please be mindful of the signage in the parking lot. A Child's World Daycare has spots reserved for their drop off and pick up, and should only be used by parents/guardians going to the daycare. We understand that there aren’t many open spots, please use the free parking in the park or side streets. It is important NOT to block in drivers, or create lines of cars in the center of the lot. This creates unsafe conditions for our Panthers and their families. Thank you for your cooperation!

FRENCH IMMERSION

Welcome to Princess Margaret Public School!

Delta Bingo

Princess Margaret would like to thank Delta Bingo for their charity contributions to our sports teams, school trips and programs! We are always looking to add to our volunteers list, give the office a call if you can help out on a Saturday afternoon once or twice a year.

Hello everyone,

As part of on-going brand awareness, a TV commercial has been developed that aims to elevate our presence right where it matters most - in homes right across Ontario. Running on Global Television, the 30- second ad will showcase the real impact of Charitable Gaming, utilizing a mix of testimonials and original artwork. It launched on Sept. 5th for a 7 week run during prime-time programming with an estimated audience of nearly 2.5 million!

We are excited to connect with Ontarians to showcase the good works of Charitable Gaming. We highly encourage that it be placed on Association social media pages. Additionally, please send it to participating charities for posting on their social media platforms. This will count as a participation requirement. As you can see in the link below it is also posted on youtube.

Let's help spread the word!
